In the Greater Toronto Area, it seems almost every pizza place has their own take on a creamy garlic dipping sauce. And there is one chain that has one of the best known dipping sauces, they even sell it in the grocery stores. Pizza Creamy Garlic Dipping Sauce is a thing, and a pretty popular thing.
I know pizza is not keto friendly, but this dipping sauce is. This dipping sauce would pair well with carrots, celery, broccoli, even cauliflower. But it is great for Pizza. And wings.
This sauce is not great straight out of the fridge. Because of the butter in it, it is a little too solid when it is very cold. Allow it to warm up a bit until it is creamy and enjoy.
Try this sauce with the chicken lollipops (smoked, or baked), or with chicken wings. It doesn’t have to be with pizza.
Prep Time | 5 minutes |
Servings |
4 |
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Ingredients
|
- Melt the butter, and allow it to cool a bit.
- Once the melted butter has cooled, stir in the garlic powder.
- Once mixed, stir in the mayonnaise and sour cream.
- Stir to combine, and serve along with pizza.
- Or wings, or whatever you feel needs some creamy garlic dipping sauce goodness added.
If you want it more garlicy, you can add another half teaspoon of garlic powder to the recipe. Also, if your garlic powder is not fresh, you may need to increase it to a full teaspoon or more. It really depends on how garlicky your garlic powder is, and how garlicy you want the sauce.
You can also substitute fresh garlic in this sauce, but I find the taste of the garlic powder works better in this sauce. Let me know what you think.
